Colorado Cookout

It's always good to take a break from the world's worries and enjoy a bit of the Grand Life.

September is cooler in the Grand Valley, but the backyard flowers are still blooming and the evenings are perfect for a late supper. It is a good time to fire up the grill and dine al fresco

Here's my plate from last night - straight from the grill:
Lamb shoulder chop seasoned with a chimmichuri of garden mint and cilantro.

Olathe sweet corn with garden chives - roasted on the cob and cut to the plate.

Salad of fresh garden tomatoes, cucumbers, and a bit of celery and green onion for crunch.

  1. Gene,

    That looks GRAND!

Nothing better than home made! We again picked up some fresh veggies at our Farmers Market this weekend. Great sweet crisp carrots picked after the first frosts of the fall.
