I thought he saved Detroit. Maybe he will yet, we have a few tax dollars left. If he does do a bailout, it will be 30 years before another Democrat is elected to public office in the US again.

Thanks for the link to this review of Charlie LeDuff's book, Detroit: An American Autopsy. I will definitely look for more of his reports.I lived (in Lincoln Park) 11 miles southwest of downtown Detroit in 1973/74. It was a great time in my life and I feel the destruction of Detroit as an emotional loss. But I don't want $1.00 going from the fiscally responsible to support the destructive policies of that city. Let the deer and the weeds take the place.
