The black community, upset because they think Martin was profiled as a thug, go out and demonstrate a mind-boggling amount of thuggery. Quod est demonstrandum,

Meanwhile, more than 70 have been killed in Chicago so far in 2013.   That is almost exclusively black on black crime.  Why is that not a national problem?

  1. Martin was a thug, no matter how you hang it out to dry.

  2. Martin was 17 and unarmed. Zimmerman is in his late 20s and armed. He contacted authorities and was advised to back off. He had no reason to get out of his vehicle. He was the one looking for trouble.

That said, the jury has spoken. Given Florida's laws and the jury instructions, it appears they followed the law.

Teenagers in Florida are now on notice: Do not wear hoodies. Do not go out at night. Any wannabe cop might decide you're a threat.

Thank God I'm not a teenager these days.

    1. Teenagers should be on notice that it is dangerous to be black in Chicago.

Teenagers, of any race, should be on notice that they should not wander around unfamiliar neighborhoods after dark.

You should be on notice that it is ignorant to generalize from too little data. Facts reported by Big Media are not the facts given the jury.

    2. I'm sad to know that if someone was poking around in my back yard, you'd just be watching from your vehicle. I do not hold others responsible to help me out, but I do not see such disregard as highly moral.
You act like "wanna-be-cops" have only existed in the last 10 years. I grew up looking for and respecting boundaries, because if I ran across the wrong person, I could be in trouble, didn't you do something similar?
Finally the presence or non-presence of a gun does not delineate the ability to kill. Neither knew if the other was armed or not, and there are many ways to kill. A convict who has spent 20 years exercising would not need any weapon against me. If he lays hands on me....well.
