August garden

My little garden is doing well.  It is surprising how a few plants and a little space can produce a steady supply of fresh veggies.

I have a few pictures and so does my wife: Escapees from Squash Patch. Seems like we both had the same idea at the same time - it happens a lot.

Squash and beans growing on the fence.  The beans are a second planting.

Tomatoes in the greenhouse.  The patio tomatoes (in the pots) are really producing well.  Hopefully the bush goliath in the ground will continue to produce well in to fall.

More squash on the fence.  This is spaghetti squash.  We also have acorn squash and a pumpkin.
The squash in the Thee Sister plot is zucchini.  A couple have already gotten away from me.

The Three Sisters plot was an interesting experiment. However next year I'll go back to a less intense mix. The squash and beans do well growing on the fence. The plot can serve more tomatoes, cucumbers, and maybe kale. Also next year I'll try potatoes in tubs.
