Veterans' Day 2013

Every man and woman who joins the United States Armed Forces takes an oath to defend the country.

They may have joined for many reasons. They may have expected a variety of postings and assignments. But, no matter what else was involved, all took the oath.

And, when called on to place their very lives on freedom's line, they repond.

Here is the fourth verse of the Star Spangled Banner.

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Thanks to the Freemen who stand and, have stood, between their loved home and the war's desolation.
